DESCRIPTION:What is this event?\nOn some Sunday afternoons, we study rope in many ways.\nThe Sunday School of Rope is our learning playground: a space for studying, experimenting, analyzing, and refining our practice together.Each Sunday will bring a new focus, but the energy stays consistent: curious minds, technical depth, playful exploration, and a strong sense of community.\nOur School of Rope activities may include:\n🪢 Mini workshopsShort, structured teachings led by our team or occasionally by special guests.\n🪢 Lab sessions / Study groupsFocused exploration of specific techniques, structures, transitions, tension, or partner dynamics.\n🪢 Rope analysis sessionsWe might look at rope photos or scenes (from social media or books) and break them down together:What do we like? What could be improved? How do we think it was built?Sometimes we’ll even try to recreate the tie, turning inspiration into a practical challenge.\n🪢 Rope games & challengesSkill-based exercises that push creativity, speed, precision, flow, or problem-solving.\n🪢 Demo sessionsLive tying with explanation, discussion, and space for questions.\n🪢 Practice timeOpen floor for tying, drilling, experimenting, observing, or simply being around rope energy.\nYou don’t have to participate in every structured moment. You can choose to observe, practice quietly, or fully dive in.\nThis is not a performance space.It’s a rope classroom, laboratory, and playground combined.\nTo attend this event, you need to have attended a Consent Workshop or be vetted by someone from our community through the InFLUX code-sharing system.If you’re new and someone is bringing you along using their InFLUX code, you can learn how this works here ( https://influx.events/influx-code-sharing-a-new-way-to-bring-trusted-people-in/ ).\nThis event will be bilingual, in Romanian and English. We will look at how partial suspensions can become a space for creativity, communication, and shared exploration between rigger and model.\nExpect a hands-on session centered on experimenting with body positioning, discovering interesting shapes, and playing with how the body can move within a partial tie.\nDuring this workshop you will:\n– Revise uplines, including both high and low lock-offs\n– Learn techniques for moving and repositioning the body in partials\n– Explore tools for experimentation between rigger and model\n– Discover a few fun shapes and positions that can emerge from partial suspensions\nThe focus is on playfulness, creativity, and collaboration, giving participants practical ideas they can adapt to their own rope practice.\nPre-requisites\nParticipants should be comfortable tying one suspendable upper body harness of their choice.\nBasic familiarity with upline high and low lock-offs is recommended, although these will be revised together during the workshop.\nOur presenter: \nJenni Noo ( https://www.instagram.com/the_dark_side_of_the_noon/ )n started exploring shibari as a model in 2020. She feels at home in many styles, but at the heart of her practice is connection – her experience in rope shaped above all by relationships with people she cares about deeply.\nAs a yoga teacher and dancer, she has a deep interest in movement research – her most recent obsessions are Butoh and clown. She loves experimenting at the intersection of these different practices, especially in collaboration with other artists.\nShe is passionate about education and dedicated to empowering models. It brings her joy to facilitate a space in which people can feel safe to explore, get creative and let go.\nPlease be on time so as not to disturb other participants and make the most of the practice time.
