What is this event?

Are you a newbie? Welcome to the Beginners in Rope Day! You can attend this event regardless of your rope skill level, everyone is welcome to join! The event will start with an introduction circle in which we will also go through the code of conduct and other important information. We recommend sharing what you know with others even if you just began tying. Teaching and sharing knowledge is the best way to learn! We will introduce you to some very basic ties and we will also talk about safety and things you should consider and be aware of. There will be staff members during the event, don’t be shy to say hello or ask questions. We might even do some demos in the sharing circles.

Please note that this event is not a complete rope training programme. If you want structured learning, we recommend attending our rope workshops.

Attending this event does not require previous participation in the Consent Workshop.

What happens at the event?

Beginners in Rope Day is a peer learning environment. This is an event where we socialise, learn about our rope community, exchange notes and knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere, regardless of experience level.

Note: This is not a rope jam, but more like a munch for rope lovers and skill sharing.

Please be on time so as not to disturb other participants. We cannot guarantee that someone will be available to open the door for you after closing time. We only accept on-time admissions to any workshops since you might miss important information.

The area has many parking spaces, especially in the evening or after 6 pm. The metro station at “1 Decembrie 1918” is the closest to us and it’s only 8 minutes away, on foot.

Take the small elevator (it’s behind the large stairs on the ground floor) to the 5th floor, where you will see the sign for InFLUX. One more flight of stairs up, and you’re there. If mobility issues prevent you from climbing up a flight of stairs, you can take the large elevator, which will take you straight to our door, but that one is much slower.

Everyone is welcome – singles, solos, couples, friends and groups, regardless of your rope skill level.

👕 Pick a more comfortable outfit: wear something easy to move in, like sports pants, leggings, or tights.

What are you bringing?

🪪 Please bring your ID card with you so we can check your age at the door. We keep none of your data, but we need to make sure that everyone is an adult. You can see here or here how we check your ID so that all your data but your year of birth and picture are visible to us.

🧵Bring your own ropes if you have them. You can also use our community ropes; they are available to everyone.

Who organises this event?

Amarpas (she/her/they/them) is a veteran of the community with nearly a decade of experience tying, creating connections, and leading workshops; she has created her own niche for play. She has been passionate about learning rope for almost a decade and discovered her passion for educating others over 5 years ago. She loves teaching people and being a reliable guide at the beginning of their journey. Amarpas brings passion and solid knowledge with a no-nonsense approach to kink.
