Rope Work 3

Rope Work 3

What is this event?

Rope Work is a weekend conference for people who build community, teach, and encourage supportive environments for their circle of rope peers.

This is not a conference where we gather to learn ties or new techniques but where we learn how to be better founders of safer spaces, events, and hubs for those interested in bondage.

The format of this event is an unconference, which means there will not be a dedicated leadership deciding discussions or any self-declared experts. Anyone can propose subjects, present subjects, or open a sharing circle, which will help us learn from the experiences of every single person. You can be a veteran or someone who is just itching to open a new rope space, and you are more than welcome to join us.

📝 Fill out this form to register for this edition of Rope Work and secure your spot. We have limited places available that will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

This event will be held in English.

We will be adding more details to this page as the date of the event approaches, but until then, please fill out our form so that we know who you are and how we can make your attendance the best it can be. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

What happens at the event?

Join us from January 19 to 21, 2024, at InFLUX, in the vibrant heart of Bucharest. InFLUX is Romania’s first sex-positive, inclusive space and hub for rope enthusiasts. Celebrating over a year of community and connection, InFLUX hosts a large community of rope enthusiasts.

For this event, we’re offering limited on-site accommodation – be sure to indicate your interest in staying with us right where everything happens when you fill out the registration form.

The schedule of the event is flexible and dynamic. It will be determined by the interests of the attendees. This is not a pre-set agenda but one made in real-time, reflecting the diverse expertise and curiosity of our participants. This is more than an event; it’s a collaborative journey. This isn’t just a series of workshops; it’s a chance to come together to learn from one another and create a strong network of support.

We encourage you to complete the Rope Work registration form with your details and what you hope to achieve by attending. Your input is vital—it will help us organize discussions and activities that matter most to you.

Keep an eye out for updates as we finalize the program to meet everyone’s interests and goals. We’re looking forward to building a practical, supportive, and insightful event together.

Rope teachers, community organizers, people looking to make safer spaces, veterans concerned with dealing with consent violations and creating safer events, organizers unsure of how to make spaces more inclusive – all of you and more are welcome to Rope Work 3.

We want to hear all of your experiences, we want everyone to get a chance to share their bits of knowledge and most of all, we have to support and help each other.

You can propose subjects you feel confident talking about, or you can bring up subjects you would really like to hear other people’s opinions about.

Who organizes this event?

This is the third edition of Rope Work, but the organizers are fresh and new.

We, Kitty, Băje (InFLUX Studio), and Haag (Ellipsis Rope Events Foundation), were so impressed by our participation in the previous editions that we feel this event simply must happen again. It is not our concept, but we believe it to be such an important happening. We have tried to make the event as accessible as possible, price-wise and we are here to answer any questions you might have. Simply drop us a message on our Contact page form or text us through our WhatsApp number (+40723258105).

Haag

Haag (he/they) is a full time rope bondage teacher/organizer and runs the Ellipsis Rope Events Foundation based in Rotterdam (NL). He has hosted countless rope events varying from international workshops, performances, demonstrations, festivals and rope jams throughout the last decade. His background in event organization comes from his parents who ran a foundation focusing on events for their local community ranging from dance events, markets, dance events, and many, many more. Because of this he grew up in an environment where community work, volunteering and facilitating events was part of everyday life. At a later age he started hosting events for various communities himself and eventually found his way to the rope scene.
