What is this event?

The life drawing workshop (atelier de crochiuri) is a safe space where we draw and experiment with artistic expression together.

The life drawing workshop is a session in which we draw the figure of a real person posing in front of us. Our model will stand still for a while and we draw what we see.

This event is hosted in Romanian by default, but it will be hosted in English if at least one participant isn’t fluent in Romanian.

How does this event work?

In this edition of the life drawing workshop, we will focus on drawing the full figure in dynamic poses. If this subject is not yet comfortable for you, focus on drawing what is within your area of comfort.

The model for this life drawing session will be wearing clothes.

The model will pose, in time slots between one minute and 15 minutes.

We confirm attendance 24 hours before the start of the event at the latest. Please hit the confirm button one day before the start of the event.

Schedule with breaks

19:00 – 19:30 – We gather in the InFLUX space. At 19:30 the doors close.
19:30 – 20:00 – We introduce ourselves, introduce the model.
20:00 – 21:30 – Model poses in intervals, with breaks in-between.
21:00 – 22:00 – We talk about how it felt, show off our drawings if we want to. Both the model and the participants can arrange to experiment outside the schedule.

Please try to respect the schedule and not be late to avoid disturbing other participants. We cannot guarantee that someone will be available to open the door for you after closing time. We only accept on-time admissions to any workshops since you might miss important information.

The area has many parking spaces, especially in the evening or after 6 pm. The metro station at “1 Decembrie 1918” is the closest to us and it’s only 8 minutes away, on foot.

Our elevator is sometimes working and sometimes needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, while we hope this gets fixed soon, it is not up to us. If the elevator does not work when you arrive, please take the stairs to the 5th floor, where you will see the sign to InFLUX. The building staircase doesn’t have a lot of light, and we apologize for that. We hope the issue gets fixed soon, but until then, please use your phone flashlight to go upstairs.

Who can come?

The life drawing workshop organized by InFLUX is open to anyone who wants to experiment and learn, no matter their level. We are creating a safe, welcoming, and queer-friendly space together.

Press “Going” on our website. You will receive an email confirmation, and we will keep you updated with information about the event. You will also receive an email reminder close to the event so you don’t miss it.

We reserve the right to select event participants.

What are you bringing? What are you wearing?

You are encouraged to bring any illustration tools you want. They can be tools you have mastered or ones you have never worked with before and want to explore.

For beginners, the friendliest tools are an HB pencil and the A4 sheet with no lines or dots.

Other interesting tools to explore are colored pencils, a pen or brush pen with ink, watercolors, or acrylics.

We’ll also provide free materials from InFLUX for those who need them or want to experiment with something new.

Who organizes this event?

The event is organized by Still-Hypatia, in partnership with InFLUX, with support from KittyRea.

Still-Hypatia illustrates joyously. She has no formal education in this field, only the enthusiasm to create a safe and welcoming space for an artistic community. She practices relational anarchy and consensual kink.

Rules of InFLUX & of the event

Please read our rules carefully before attending our events.

The InFLUX rules are supplemented by a set of rules specific to the life drawing workshop:

For the safety of the model

We will not make explicit comments about the body of the model. That is, we avoid saying “oh, how nice you look in that coat”, “oh, how nice your back looks in this light”.
We will not touch the model or the model’s objects without consent.
We don’t get upset or criticise the model if she moves, sneezes, scratches herself. We are humans with human needs.
We respect the model’s decision to sit in a certain position for longer or shorter amounts of time, depending on their comfort.

For the safety of the participants

We don’t watch someone else draw over their shoulder / from the side without their consent.
We do not touch a participant’s objects without their consent.
We don’t give feedback (positive, negative or constructive) without being asked to or without having already discussed it with the person and having their consent that it’s ok to offer our opinion.
We do not criticise the way someone chooses to express themselves or chooses to experiment.

The life drawing workshop is a space where we’re going to be a bit vulnerable. When we participate in the event, we choose to support our own curiosity and that of the other participants.

Ce este acest eveniment?

Atelierul de crochiuri este un spațiu sigur în care desenăm și experimentăm împreună cu expresia artistică.

Atelierul de crochiuri – sau, pe englezește, life drawing – este o sesiune în care desenăm figura unei persoane reale, care pozează în fața noastră. Modelul nostru va rămâne nemișcat o vreme, iar noi desenăm ceea ce vedem.

De obicei, evenimentul se ține în limba română, dar se va ține în limba engleză dacă cel puțin o persoană care participă nu vorbește fluent limba română.

Cum se desfășoară acest eveniment?

La această ediție a atelierului de crochiuri ne vom concentra pe a desena figura completă a modelului, în posturi dinamice. Dacă acest subiect nu vă este încă unul confortabil. puteți alege să vă concentrați pe alte tipuri de crochiu.

Modelul de la această sesiune de crochiuri va purta haine.

Modelul va poza, în intervaluri de timp între un minut și 15 minute.

Confirmăm participarea la acest eveniment cu 24 de ore înainte ca el să înceapă. Te rugăm să dai “Going” cu cel puțin o zi înainte de eveniment.

Program cu pauze

19:00 – 19:30 – Ne adunăm la InFLUX. La ora 19:30 se închid ușile.
19:30 – 20:00 – Ne prezentăm, și noi, ca participanți, și ni se prezintă modelul.
20:00 – 21:30 – Modelul va poza în intervaluri, cu pauze între calupuri de intervaluri.
21:30 – 22:00 – Discutăm cum s-a simțit și ne prezentăm desenele dacă ne dorim asta. Atât modelul cât și participanții pot experimenta în afara orarului.

Te rugăm să respecți programul și să nu întârzii, pentru a nu-i deranja pe ceilalți participanți. Nu putem garanta că cineva va fi disponibil să deschidă ușa după ora de închiderea a intrărilor. Nu acceptăm întârzieri la niciun atelier, deoarece este posibil să ratezi informații importante.

În zonă sunt multe locuri de parcare, mai ales seara sau după ora 18:00. Stația de metrou „1 Decembrie 1918” este cea mai apropiată de noi și se află la doar 8 minute de mers pe jos.

Liftul nostru funcționează uneori și alteori nu. Din păcate, deși sperăm că acest lucru se va rezolva în curând, nu depinde de noi. Dacă liftul nu funcționează când ajungi, te rugăm să urci scările până la etajul 5, unde vei vedea semnul către InFLUX. Scara clădirii nu are multă lumină și ne cerem scuze pentru asta. Sperăm că problema se rezolvă în curând, dar până atunci, te rugăm să folosești lanterna telefonului pentru a ajunge sus.

Cine poate veni?

Atelierul de crochiuri organizat de InFLUX este deschis pentru oricine vrea să experimenteze și să învețe, indiferent de nivelul la care e. Creăm împreună un spațiu sigur, primitor și queer-friendly.

Dă click pe „Going” pe site-ul nostru. Vei primi o confirmare prin e-mail și te vom ține la curent cu informații despre eveniment. Vei primi, de asemenea, un e-mail mai aproape de eveniment, pentru a-ți aminti de el, ca să nu-l ratezi.

Ne rezervăm dreptul de a selecta participanții la eveniment.

Ce aduci cu tine? Ce poți să porţi?

Vă recomandăm să veniți cu orice instrumente de ilustrație vreți.

Pot fi instrumente pe care le stăpâniți sau unele cu care nu ați mai lucrat și vreți să explorați.

Pentru începători, cele mai prietenoase instrumente sunt un creion HB și foaie A4, fără linii sau puncte.

Alte instrumente interesante de explorat sunt creioanele colorate, un stilou sau brush pen cu cerneală, acuarele sau acrilice.

Vom pune la dispoziție și materiale gratuite, oferite de InFLUX, pentru cei care au nevoie de ele sau care vor să experimenteze cu ceva nou.

Cine organizează evenimentul?

Evenimentul este organizat de Still-Hypatia, în partenerat cu InFLUX, cu susținerea lui KittyRea.

Still-Hypatia ilustrează din plăcere. Nu are studii în acest sens, ci doar entuziasmul de a crea un spațiu sigur și primitor pentru o comunitate artistică. Ea practică anarhia relațională și kink-ul consimțit.

Regulile InFLUX & regulile evenimentului

Te rugăm să citești cu atenție regulile noastre înainte de a participa la evenimentele de la InFLUX.

Regulilor InFLUX se adaugă un set de reguli specifice atelierului de crochiuri:

Pentru siguranța modelului

Nu vom face comentarii explicite despre corpul modelului. Adică evităm să spunem “ce frumos îți stă în haina aia”, “ce bine arată spatele tău în lumina asta”.
Nu vom atinge modelul sau obiectele modelului fără consimțământ.
Nu ne supărăm și nu criticăm modelul dacă se mișcă, strănută, se scarpină. Suntem oameni cu nevoi umane.
Respectăm decizia modelului de a sta mai mult sau mai puțin într-o anumită poziție, în funcție de confortul lor.

Pentru siguranța participanților

Nu urmărim cum desenează altcineva peste umăr / dintr-o parte, fără consimțământul lor.
Nu atingem obiectele unui participant fără consimțământul lor.
Nu oferim feedback (pozitiv, negativ sau constructiv) fără să ni se ceară sau fără să fi discutat deja cu persoana respectivă și să avem consimțământul lor că e ok să ne dăm cu părerea.
Nu criticăm modul în care cineva alege să se exprime sau alege să experimenteze.

Atelierul de crochiuri e un spațiu în care vom fi un pic vulnerabili. Atunci când participăm la eveniment, alegem să susținem propria noastră curiozitate și pe cea a celorlalți participanți.
